I am very thankful for this opportunity to serve Redeemer Lutheran Preschool in the role of Director. I have formerly served as director for two Lutheran schools: one for 14 years, the other for 2 years. In between serving at these two schools, I owned my own preschool program operating from my home. Working with young children and their families, sharing the love of Jesus with all, is one of the many blessings I value most serving within an early childhood setting.
I am a positive communicator, an organized planner, a hard worker, a staff supporter and I love, love, love His children and their enthusiasm for whatever the day brings!
I am blessed to be part of the teaching team here at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool. Working with preschoolers is my passion. I have been teaching for more years than I care to admit, let’s just say ….my entire working career. I have served as teacher with infants, preschoolers and school-aged children, 6 months-12 years old. No matter the position I hold, sharing the love of Jesus and building relationships with children and their families is what I treasure most!
I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development from Cal State Fullerton. I also took classes through Concordia University Irvine and earned my colloquy, a series of theology classes according to the Missouri Synod Lutheran beliefs. I am a member and worship regularly at Bethel Lutheran Church in Buena Park. I love my church family.
In my spare time I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, swimming in my pool, rooting for the Angels, completing simple hikes, taking care of my pup, Maddie and spending time with family near and far (my granddaughters live in Houston……thank God for Facetime) On Monday evenings you will find me at Linbrook Bowling Alley where I have bowled in the same league since 1995!
I have lots of favorite Bible verses but if I had to choose one, it would be Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

I am so blessed and excited that God has led me to Redeemer Lutheran Preschool. I have been in the preschool profession for over 30 years and I’m thankful that most of these years have been within the Christian community. One of my greatest joys is singing and teaching about the love of Jesus.
In my free time, I like to hang out with friends and family, playing cards, doing puzzles and watching movies. I have one son who is married and lives in Long Beach. In November of 2024, Andrew and Jenny gave me my first grandchild—Vera. I am so enjoying being Nana!

My name is Annabell Joyce and I am a dedicated early childhood educator with over 20 years of experience working with children from birth to school age. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education from Cal State Fullerton and I have spent my career nurturing curiosity, independence, and a love for learning in young children.
I am passionate about creating meaningful experiences that inspire wonder and growth. My faith plays a central role in my teaching, and I find great joy in sharing the love of Jesus through chapel time, singing, and storytelling. I believe in leading by example to help children understand the gospel and build a strong spiritual foundation. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve Redeemer Lutheran Preschool in the role of lead teacher for the Busy Bees classroom!
I am currently residing in Fountain Valley with my two young daughters, Ava (4) and Ana (2). I consider being a teacher not just a profession, but a true blessing and calling.

My name is Briana, but I prefer to be called Bree. I was adopted at birth in San Dimas and raised in La Habra and Huntington Beach. I have 2 dogs named Chip and Maddie!
In 2020, I battled breast cancer. God blessed me with healing and very little symptoms.
In my free time, I love to make crafts, spend time with family/friends and go on tandem bike rides with my dad.
I am very excited to be at Redeemer! Ever since I was young, I wanted to be a teacher and work with children. I have been volunteering/working with children between the ages of infancy-junior high since 2009 at my church, Refuge Calvary Chapel – Huntington Beach. I have also volunteered/ worked at various preschools. I am passionate about working with special needs children. My favorite age is pre-k but I love all ages. I have a certificate in early childhood education from North Orange County Community College.
One of my favorite sayings we say here at Redeemer is “Share the love of Jesus!”

Hello, my name is Christine Perkinson. I prefer to be called Chris or Miss Chris. Before taking classes at Long Beach City College, I was encouraged to take an assessment test to help me decide my educational path. I scored high on careers working with children; infants, toddlers, preschool age and school-age children. Now, I have been working with preschool age children for more than 10 years. I look forward to having an awesome school year here at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool. For your beloved children, I will offer patience, guidance, positive role modeling, love and appreciation.
